Compass Immersion Day
The “Compass Immersion Day” has been introduced in 2023 as part of Catholic Schools Open Week, providing an opportunity for future students and referral partners to experience “A Day in the Life” of a young person at Compass.
The Immersion Day is designed for:
Young people who are interested in enrolling at Compass for the start of the 2024 school year
Referral partners who want to gain a greater understanding of how we do things differently at Compass, to help support them when connecting young people with our community
The Immersion Day will help participants gain an understanding of the type of learning a young person can explore through our alternative education program, whilst experiencing our community in action.

Immersion Day Schedule
Thursday 24th August
- 9.00am to 10.00am – Connection: join us for breakfast
- 10:00am to 11:15am – Cooking: explore cooking in the Kitchen Hub
- 11:30am to 12:30pm – Art: get creative in the Makers Space
- 12:30pm to 1.00pm – Connect: join us for a shared lunch
- 1.00pm – Immersion Day Ends
*Referral partners must submit a valid Working With Children Check when registering to participate in the Immersion Day. You will be contacted via email to provide this following completion of your registration.
